Applying for Aid

Notes for Continuing Students

  • Continuing Cal Grant recipients can use the April 15 deadline to file the FAFSA, and do not need to complete a new GPA Verification Form.
  • International Students must have a U.S. Social Security number to receive scholarship funds.
  • Fifth-year Students must submit an Undergraduate Academic Plan (PDF).  Students who choose to enroll for fifth year to complete work beyond the minimum graduation requirements will be considered for federal financial aid only. Stanford does not award scholarship funds past twelve quarters to complete a minor, double major, dual, BAS or Coterminal degree.
  • Fifth-year Coterminal students may apply for Graduate Student Loan and Federal Work-Study (PDF).
  • Summer Quarter Financial Aid is generally reserved for students who have missed a standard quarter or who plan to graduate at the end of Summer.  Summer aid applications are available from the Forms section of this website after May 1.
